welcome to the 'hood

I found an apartment only a few blocks from the office. It will safe me from driving on the crappy roads so early in the morning. I still have to drive to work because of my job but it’s nice to be within walking distance of mucho stuff.
The morning after, my first night at the apartment, I noticed some workers cleaning up some glass. It turns out there was a domestic incident that night. A coworker had the scanner that night and he heard the name of my apartment building.
