You heard correct. Temperatures are well below 40C here and with the wind its -50C. I am not amused but what can I do? Complain like the rest of my coworkers, whose cars fail to start? I am one of the lucky few in my newsroom who has a running vehicle. Forget the fact that yesterday my car did a 360 in the middle of an intersection, and just this afternoon my brakes failed to stop at a Stop sign. At least my car runs.
Fortunately I worked last weekend so I have Thursday and Friday off this week. Tomorrow is Wednesday and I couldn’t be happier as I am moving into my apartment, which is two blocks from the office. I really hate Northern Alberta winter driving. I can’t express it any more because I am trying to remain positive so I can get through the next few days of Winter’s curse.
