Somehow our potluck ended with lap dances and naked women. Don’t ask me how three lesbians convinced four straight women to watch female strippers bare it all. Oh, now I remember, it was Melina’s wedding present and Allison’s going away present.
I spent a better part of yesterday getting stuff organized for the scrapbook. Developing my photos took forever but it managed to get done. We put together a photo album with the team photos for Allison to remember us by. (She’s back to Vancouver next week.)
I was pressed for time because I met Sue at Starbucks and we talked for hours. I met Sue and Jerry on my first trip to Beijing, over four years ago. They have been travelling and living in Asia and Mexico. Now they’re back in Manotick for a short break. Did I mention they are both in their sixties? I love that they are on these adventures together. Sue is a retired schoolteacher and Jerry seems to love the teaching even more than she does. I think Sue almost convinced me that I should give China a go. Beijing Olympics, here I come!
Anyway so back to the potluck. The girls brought a mountain of food and alcohol. Jen manned the barbecue and we ate enought for two football teams. After the gorging, there was some dancing and tons of laughter. Dollar wine seems to be our new team song.
Two carloads of girls headed downtown to the Barefax after biding our farewells to our gracious host, Fabienne. I had no say in it. All I heard from Karina was, You’re coming!
I didn’t know what to expect because I had only been to a strip joint once and that was to see a classmate strip. Then of course there was that time at Blue Heron court when Marlo and I hired Darren to strip for Cindy’s birthday.
We paid a four dollar cover to watch really skinny women bump, grind, twirl and do other naughty stuff on a steel poll. Amusing for the first ten minutes, but not so much after an hour. What was most interesting was watching the reactions of the men drooling around the circular stage.
Shelly was enamoured with this one dancer so the table decided that someone should give her five bucks. As I was the closest to the stage, I had no problems handing the chick the money. Little did I know that she would take me on stage. Her first question was, Are you a lesbian? I said hell no. Then she asked me to lie down where she caressed my body and shaked her boobs in my face. She asked me to take my shirt off. I said, I am sorry I can’t do that.
She told the crowd I was too shy for her. I was more embarrassed for her than anything else. A comedy show was more apt than an erotic one. I think Janice and Lisa screaming with laughter killed the mood. Still one man, on the way out stopped by our table and told me I put on a good show. Thanks, buddy!
Next big highlight was watching Melina get a lap dance in a private room by a stripper named Harmony. Melina did not want one at all but Karina and Shelly kept insisting. (Melina’s the one getting married.) So Janice and I jumped at the opportunity to watch.
Okay, we’re not perverts. We just thought it would be funny as hell. And it was. I think Janice was really trying to get some pointers for her husband. Our girl Harmony thought the three of us were nuts. We talked through the whole thing dance.
This will definitely be a memorable team party. I just wish I knew where the hell my mobile is.
I am looking for a club buddy to avoid being there alone. I am straight, in my 30s. The club’s name is Barefax and it is located in downtown Ottawa, so called Byward Market. I will appreciate if you could answer, even briefly, to this email.
Respectfully,
Peter R
