After celebrating Australian day, the previous night, Sarah and rose early to journey to Gyeongju. We went to see Bulguksa, which is built on a series of stone terraces. To quote the guide book, “it really is magnificent”. Both Sarah and I were impressed, but it was too cold to linger. In fact, while we were finishing a lunch of bimbimbap, we found ourselves in a freak snowstorm. Actually it wasn’t that bad but it was pretty random. We thought it best to head back to Busan since Sarah doesn’t have snowtires. But our dump of snow was finished in about ten minutes. So ventured on to the Korean FolkArt Village and the Bomunho Resort. We had a fun day!
