Here I sit with this damn cast still on my leg. I just came back from Hwamyeong. I went to the doctor with the hope that he would take the damn thing off. After taking an xray, he said the alignment was good but that I need to keep this damn cast on for two to three more weeks. That was not the news I wanted to hear.
Then I went over to Oedae to see Jennifer. Last night we decided that we would take matters in our own hands, if the doctor didn’t remove it. Despite Chelsey’s concern and Selena’s distaste, she took an exacto knife and hacked at the end of the cast but she couldn’t make any headway.
It’s all so frustrating. I am determined to get this cast off one way or another this weekend. Tomorrow we’re going to another doctor in Hwamyeong, who speaks English, to plead my case. We’ll make up some crazy story just to get the damn thing off. One month is long enough. In Canada, doctors would just tape your toes together if they are broken. This is ridiculous. If my baby toe was that bad, the doctor would have recommended surgery.
This cast seems to be causing more damage than good. With the luck I am having, they will put on a full length cast to help heal the damage to my knees.
Hi, Crystal-
Before you remove that annoying cast… How about one last set of pics featuring the cumbersome, orthopedic device?
Hmmm… Maybe that doctor is kinda like me.
Sorry for the rash of bad stuff. But glad to see you're blogging again.
