Ipod shambles

So I dropped my ipod again. I keep dropping it these days. To be honest, I have been a clutz most of my life so it should come as no surprise that my ipod has a few cracks in it. Despite the many times it slipped from my hands, it has continued to work. But a few minutes ago, I dropped it good. Now the wheel is compressed making it difficult to select options. The battery is drained so I can’t tell if it is really damaged. I’ll have to wait until when I get home to assess. I’m such a moron.

Neil and I are both in the office studying: him math, me spanish. Actually it’s a usual scene. If you were to come here any day of the week, you would swear we are such dorks with our heads in the books. We have so much time to kill between classes so we have to keep ourselves amused; otherwise, we would go crazy. Usually, I study spanish, after preparing for my classes. Neil, on the other hand, is constantly struggling with a calculator. He teaches several different math classes at different levels; therefore, he has to stay on top of his game.

Unlike other hogwons, the students that come here actually understand what we say since many of them have studied abroad or are planning to do so. These days we are starting to get busier with more private classes because many students have finished their semesters studying at other countries, like Australia, for instance. Just this week Neil gained three extra hours of teaching a day and I gained one. I don’t mind so much because my extra class is just another writing course. Poor Neil has to do much more prep than I have to do. That’s why my biggest complaint today is dropping my ipod.
